Political: Democracy didnt die in Thailand, Tyranny did!

i find it amusing once again to hear the rhetoric of the west. today western governments and some rightwing conservative asian governments are condemning the coup de etat in thailand and criticizing the military for allowing "democratic institutions seem to (be) taken over by military force". instead the truth and reality of situation is the military has kicked out tyranny not democracy. is the west really that naive to claim that tyranny when elected through elections, which are not totally fair and free, will be nothing less than democracy?
